Manar Alsaif

Sometimes, we meet people who are obviously going to do amazing things. They all have a certain quality, whether it’s their enthusiasm, or being clear minded, or being engaged, or having such a deep understanding of their topic of interest. But all of them without fail tend to show determination. Determination to progress their cause, whatever it is. 

And yes, a lot of the time these people have already done amazing things that vouch for them, but sometimes, you catch them early in their journey, when they are still trying to part the ocean lest they cross. But it is so clear how much potential they have, and how much they are going to do, and how big their impact will be. 

I’m so lucky that I have met a few of these people, and I’m so honoured that I can call some of them friends. These are the people who keep me honest, who challenge me and make me better, and help me move my life forward, because no matter how disheartened I am, they will lend a bit of their determination. I hope I can reciprocate and carry it forward.

If you ever come across somebody like this, someone on a mission, encourage them, let them know you see them and what they are doing. For all their high potential, they are human and need a little connection and validation too,  and it’s just as valid even when coming from us mere mortals who may feel no where  near being on their level. In fact, by encouraging it in them, you might find it rubs off a little on you. Determination and the desire to do good is contagious, let’s spread it.
